Introduction: In order to facilitate the best possible patient care, reference intervals (gathering) was adopted by the laboratory shall correspond to population demographics and, where applicable, the principles of analysis and / or instruments of analysis used. While the guidelines of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) recommended the validation process for gathering discrete, no current recommendations for the validation process for the continuous gathering. This study aimed to validate the recently published, HAPPI Child-togethers continuously, in the routine laboratory.
Methods: At first, the differences in test results between the main research laboratory that contributes to the development of previous gatherings and routine laboratory was assessed using specimens from 77 children were tested in both the laboratory using the Siemens ADVIA 1800 or Centaur / XP / XPT. Then, the validation of gatherings Children HAPPI done using a sample of 279 children tested in the same type of analyzer in routine laboratory. Results: There was minimal evidence of clinically significant differences in test results between the primary and routine laboratory. Compared with the control group, the benzene-exposed group were significantly different in age, long years, sex work, smoking and drinking habits (P <0.05).
